What To Watch, 3-29-12
T: How can it be it’s almost April?! This year is flying by. Busy night tonight. Let’s get to it.
The Big Bang Theory is finally back on CBS after its basketball imposed vacation. Cannot wait. Sheldon is haunted by Leonard Nemoy, his hero. Anytime something happens to Sheldon, chances are it’s going to be a great show. BBT is a show I can watch over and over and over. And it makes me laugh every single time. One of my fave new dramas, Person of Interest is back as well. It’s such a different show. That, in of itself, is a great thing. In some ways it feels like a throwback to a ’70s cop show…even though they aren’t cops. Just two dudes saving the world with technology.
(M: OK - I’m back on board with this. Whatever conflict I had is gone, so it’s on my DVR.)
The Mentalist rounds out the Eye’s night. Just a fun, fun show. Simon Baker has charm dripping out of his pours. You can’t go wrong here. No matter what M says. 8p, 9p-11p.

NBC is new tonight with its comedies. Community starts things off (Abed and Troy forever!). Sounds like tonight is going to focus on Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown). That is NEVER a bad thing. She’s taken a supporting character to new highs. Next up is our gal Tina’s 30 Rock. You know, I’m sometimes hard on the show. And sometimes it is ridiculous. But sometimes it’s great. And a show that makes such fun of its own network (hello, Kabletown!) has my respect. Skip 9p and pick up Up All Night at 9:30. Very few eps left of this show. Ratings aren’t great, the future is up in the air (leaning towards hopeful, though. It is NBC…). Watch while you can. 8p-9p, 9:30p.

Over at ABC we have Missing. Last week’s ep was definitely weaker than the premiere. But I’m giving this a chance. Unfortunately, until I get the new Dish Hopper DVR (you can record 6 HD shows at once. Someone decided to give me Christmas early!!!), I’ll have to hold off on watching this until next Wed, that’s when they’ll repeat tonight’s ep in Revenge’s timeslot. If nothing else, Ashley Judd is a fantastic actress and the scenery and locations (all shot in various European cities) is fantastic. 8p.
(M: Hey - it’s your time. You can spend it how you choose watching Taken 2 with a chick)

Late Night Roundup: The Tonight Show has Mat Kearney. I should say, the GREAT Mat Kearney. Seeing him this weekend in Malibu and I can’t wait. Just saw him a month ago in Hwood. WATCH! Lisa Kudrow is on a repeat of Craig Kilborn. But I never tire of her. Ever. If you’ve never watched The Comeback, seriously, go to Amazon now and order the DVD. Possibly the best series ever on TV.

Happy Viewing!
