What to Watch, 8-9-12, Part 2
M: Since T missed half of the new shows, I’ll fill in…
FX’s best summer show, multiple Emmy-nominated Louie, is on tonight. Last week’s episode with Robin Williams was hilarious, particularly when Louis & Robin discovered that there was one place where a loathsome friend was beloved: his favorite strip club.

And following Louie is a new series: Totally Biased with Kamau Bell. I’m not familiar with him; but the clips I’ve seen look strong and Chris Rock is a producer, so I’ll definitely check it out. Brand X wasn’t for me, but perhaps this will be.

Also, Project Runway on Lifetime is back. I love this show, probably the way others love Top Chef. Truly talented people (for the most part) tackle creative and logistical challenges to create art. The judges (with the exception of some of the guests) are proven veterans in that business, and provide snark along with valid critiques. Ven is a favorite of mine this year — here’s his candy dress:

Finally, I always recommend the Daily Show with Jon Stewart (PLEASE watch last night’s bit on voter fraud) and the Colbert Report, but a guest alert tonight: Woody Harrelson will be on Colbert.
Happy Viewing!
